The Workshop will take place at the Gran Sasso Laboratory of INFN from October 4th - 5th, 2010.
The Workshop program will focus on the physics of the Sun with discussions on Standard and "Non-Standard" Models.
The program will also focus on solar neutrino observations and on solar neutrinos as a probe for neutrino physics and solar physics.
The scientific program will consist of plenary sessions with invited speakers.

Accommodation      

We have pre-booked a number of rooms at the Hotels close to the LNGS at Assergi and at the Hotel Sporting in Teramo.
Unfortunately due to the situation after the L'Aquila earthquake it was not easy to find many rooms in the area close to the LNGS.

The pre-booking deal will last until August 30, 2010.

Participants will have to reserve rooms on their own. We strongly encourage all people to make their reservation within the above date. Reserving the room it is extremely important to state that you are a PHYSUN Workshop participant in order to have the reduced rate.
Furthermore if PHYSUN participants are also attending Neutrino Geoscience 2010, scheduled from Oct. 6 to 8, 2010 at the LNGS, these hotels will give you the same reduced rate.

For those arriving by the scheduled shuttle bus from Fiumicino (read more below) or by bus on their own we will organize a pick-up service at the hotels as later explained.


HOW TO REACH LNGS
For those arriving by plane, the closest International airport is Fiumicino, near Roma.
A shuttle bus transportation from and to Fiumicino airport (respectively on Sunday October 3rd and Wednesday October 6th ) will be organized. In order to use this service participants are asked to make their reservation on the registration form.
Transportation will be arranged based on the requests.
Concerning bus transportation, the ARPA public company offers several trips every day from Rome to L’Aquila and Teramo. Timetable and further info are available here: http://www.arpaonline.it .
For those arriving by car, you can easily reach both Assergi and Teramo driving on the A24 highway.

REGISTRATION
The online registration is now open. You can go to the "Registration" section of the Workshop website http://physun2010.mi.infn.it/ . You will be redirected to the INDICO database to fill out the registration form.

WORKSHOP FEE
Registration fee is 150 EUR/person. The fee will cover coffee breaks, lunches at LNGS canteen, workshop dinner, transportation from Fiumicino Airport and back and from hotels to LNGS on the workshop days. A visit to Underground Lab. is also included. The visit is scheduled for October 5th. Participants are asked to make their reservation on the registration form.

Payment details
Participants will pay at the registration desk starting from 8.30 a.m. on October 4th.
Cash payment in Euro currency only is accepted.

PROGRAM OF THE WORKSHOP
The Workshop will start at 9:30 a.m. on October 4th  at the Gran Sasso Laboratory. A detailed program will be posted on the INDICO database.
A preliminary program will be posted on the "Program" section of the Workshop website http://physun2010.mi.infn.it/ . You can check this section for updates.
The Workshop will end on October 5th  at 7:00pm



WORKSHOP FACILITIES
A wireless connection will be available on site. Details on how to register for wireless network will be posted on the Workshop web site later. A computer for presentations will also be available.

SOCIAL PROGRAM
A Workshop dinner is scheduled for Monday October 4th. The social dinner is included in the Workshop fee.
